A client in the distribution industry part of the Imperial Group is looking for a Transport Co-ordinator to join their team, the successful incumbent must meet the below criteria;

To have a central point of contract for local and international markets / suppliers and clients
as well as being the main co-ordinator between all above parties including ISL warehouse and
export department, for any orders, shipments, queries etc. relating to a specific client.

Key performance areas

? Issue and follow up on all estimate requests, turnaround for estimates are 24 hours from

? Ensure a signed and completed shipping instruction is received and is accurate for every
shipment.
? Orders are received from markets and are placed on local suppliers within prescribed
timing
? Interact with clients to keep them informed by notifying them of the departure and arrival
of shipments and provide general assistance to controllers in respect of updating even
controls and capturing data in Cargo-wise.
? Assist in timeous and efficient closeout related to shipments by tracking and tracing client
shipment from indent, to P.O.D and invoice payment
? Provide general administrative support and back up to the Export team in ensuring client
requirements are made.
? Check-Pre-alert(s) for accuracy and completeness prior to issuing this to client and
destination market.
? Establish and develop strongly valued relationships with all parties and clients with the
purpose of increasing confidence in and the reputation of the business driving brand
awareness and loyalty
? Ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific
regulations
? Ensure client queries / complaints are resolved timeously and in a manner which satisfies
the query / complaint.

Qualifications required
? Matric
? NCFF (NQF 3/4), FIATA diploma advantageous
? Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain and Logistics Management NQF6 or
equivalent.
? Proficient knowledge of relevant computer software
? Microsoft Office Suites

Skills and experience required

? Comprehensive knowledge of the forwarding and clearing industry, Incoterms and
customs requirements.
? 5 years experience in freight services
? Logistics or similar Degree / Diploma advantageous.
? Cargo-wise
? Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel
