A Leader in the Transport and Freight Forwarding Industry is currently looking for a Transport Manager

Job Responsibilities
• Maintain high standard of utilization ensuring the productivity of all resources
• Effective route planning (Local / Cross Border)
• Effective vehicle utilization and driver optimization
• Involvement daily with all logistical requests from customers and finding suitable solutions
• Communicate with customers at all levels, daily
• Strong controlling of all costs. Fuel, wages, overtime, etc
• Applying discipline in line with the company’s disciplinary code. HR functions, interviewing of potential employees.
• Setting up staff KPI’s / revue quarterly
• Driver training matrix (DG training / 1st aid / firefighting / in cab assessments)
• Auditee when audited
• Assisting with Annual budgets
• Compiling monthly reports to customers based on Cost / Tons Moved / Km’s / Drops / Trips / Monthly Savings
• Follow up on late payments of transport invoices

Minimum Requirements
• Matric
• Degree in Transport Economics
• 5 years’ experience within warehousing environment
• 5 years’ route planning experience
• Cross Border experience
