Transport Manager Wanted

POSITION            :              TRANSPORT MANAGER 

AREA                   :              PAROW INDUSTRIA, WESTERN CAPE

SALARY                :              R 240 000 - R 300 000 CTC INCLUDING BENEFITS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:       

• Completed Matric
• At least 2 to 3 years in a supervisory/managers position
• MUST have transport management experience
• Completed Qualification in Transport HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS
• Previous Logistics Industry experience BENEFICIAL

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Transport Manager will be responsible for ensuring quality delivery to the customers whilst adhering to Transport Best Operating practice and Transport Legislation as well as Dispatch best practices.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and manage driver’s schedules
• Ensure effective training of all related procedures
• Ensure driver certification compliance
• Monitor a record driver performance
• Implement and manage performance objectives, and implement corrective actions
• Co-ordinate driver payroll queries
• Record all drivers leave and sick leave accurately
• Manage supervisor shift roster
• Training for shift supervisors
• Weekly supervisor meetings
• Ensure accurate recording of km’s travelled, fridge hours, driver hours
• Daily and weekly fuel recons must be completed
• Resolve fuel queries
• Prepare operational reports for management and budgetary purposes
• Weekly and monthly KPI’s
• Weekly documented departmental meetings
• Monthly documented Driver meetings
