Responsibilities:
Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an on-going basis including housekeeping of the yard
Manage damage and theft
Manage approx. 90 staff members
Manage expenses/budget in the department. (E.g. Overtime, repairs, diesel, etc.)
Manage the fines of all fleet vehicles
Manage the staff in the department
Manage, plan and do sequencing of routes
Manage the scheduled maintenance and repairs
Manage the facilities, wash bay area (connection points)
Manage the administration duties for accidents that took place
Manage the Call Desk duties
Operate the Trackmatic system and draw reports from the system
Manage Occupational Health and Safety
Manage and control of the Food safety management system

Required:
At least 5 years within a Logistics/Transport environment
Computer literacy essential
Experience in people management (engaging with trade union(s), investigations, and hearings and attend CCMA cases.)
Disciplined
Ability to plan well
Capacity to manage people dynamics
High level of accuracy
