Reporting Structure:
The immediate supervisor will be the Company Operations Director
Operations:
The BM will be responsible for the effective running of the Johannesburg Branch including all financial controls and administration procedures.
In consultation with the Operations Director and Managing Director, be responsible for setting up and monitoring preferred supplier agreements
The BM will represent the client in the Gauteng region and attend all client functions and events that can enhance the operations of the branch.
Office:
Maintain the office in a manner that befits the company and is conducive to transacting travel business.
Implement and maintain technology, hardware and software required for quality operations
Attend to all lease, water and electricity, security, insurance and provision of service issues
Implement and maintain effective communication systems and processes
Ensure that effective hours of operation are maintained and that after hour’s service is available for emergencies.
Maintain an effective messenger and delivery service
Personnel:
Manage all staff required for the effective running of the branch.
Apply performance standards, discipline and motivation of all staff
Be responsible for compliance with all legal requirements
Complete performance appraisals and recommend salary increments
Maintain an effective reporting system within the branch
Maintain a leave roster and recommend leave
Service Standards:
Implement and maintain quality service standards throughout the branch
Ensure customer satisfaction by problem solving and selective personal contact.
Ensure regular report backs are received from the consultants
Attend public relations functions, and seek new and imaginative ways of enhancing our relationship with the customers
Abide by the companies code of ethics and maintain the dignity of the company at all times
Sales:
Be accountable to generate the required branch revenue from existing and new business
Establish targets and implement strategies to achieve these
Set up appointments with prospective clients and follow through on processes until business is secured and all relevant documentation is received.
Compile PowerPoint or other presentations and business proposals
Support preferred service providers
Submit regular reports to the Company and Managing Director
IATA and ATASA:
Be responsible for membership updates
Ensure that all IATA and ASATA regulations are adhered to
Budgets:
Make recommendations to the Company Director on budgets and use of resources
Be responsible for controlling costs and achieving budgeted turnover targets
Credit Control:
Ensure that all credit applications are properly completed in all respects
Ensure that all debtors accounts are strictly maintained in terms of credit facilities provided and do not allow extension of limits without appropriate guarantees. Chase all outstanding accounts
Hold a monthly credit control meeting to establish payments, usage and customer activity
Management Reports:
Ensure that all management reports requested are available
Submit management and sales reports timeously to head office
Overflows:
Assist with overflows as requested or necessary including consulting
Knowledge:
Be up to date with all issues related to running the branch from a travel and general aspect and impart this knowledge to clients, staff and senior management
Implement training programmes, schedules and processes that impart knowledge to consultants
Salary on offer is R34 000 CTC per month.
