Our Client requires the services of a fully qualified diesel mechanic to join our dynamic team and who is prepared to travel for weeks at a time.

Minimum Requirements

Head and shoulders photograph together with comprehensive CV and CONTACTABLE LANDLINE REFERENCES
Valid South African identity document/Passport/Driver’s license Code 10 and 14
Merseta Red Seal Earth Moving Certificate/HIRA qualification
South African Red Cross First Aid Certificate/SHE registered
A mature independent individual with management experience and is medically fit with 10 – 15 years’ experience
Comprehensive knowledge of CAT engines, John Deere, mobile plant, crushers, drill rigs, loaders, dumpers, excavators and generators
Fully familiar with electronic control systems, parts and components of all engines, transmissions, hydraulic braking systems
Be prepared to travel at a moment’s notice/team player
Police Clearance Certificate

Key Responsibilities

The ability to troubleshoot and repair problems with all types of machinery and equipment
Diagnose, test, adjust and repair systems of diesel powered vehicles
Developing, modifying, constructing and installing equipment for safe operation of all plant/mine vehicles and machinery
Keep valid records of job records and time management
