We are looking for an experienced and dependable truck driver to join our team. The truck driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently driving a large commercial vehicle long distances for extended hours to deliver cargo
Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities
• Practice safe, long-distance driving habits
• Maintain vehicle equipment
• Complete documentation for mileage and cargo
• Ensure cargo is secured
• Accurately follow maps and directions for time efficient routes
• Plan routes to meet delivery schedules
• Keep track of mileage, fuel, and toll expenses
• Inspect truck daily for damage or maintenance problems (tire wear, dents, etc.)
• Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors
Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Two (2) years’ previous professional driving experience or related experience
• Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations
• Physically fit and able to sit for long time periods
• Candidate should be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills required
• Able to work night, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed
Salary
21 000 – 32 000 depending on experience.
