We are looking for an UI/UX Designer for a National Company in Port Elizabeth.

Purpose of the Position:
To gather user requirements, design graphical elements and build user interface and design components on various platforms

Requirements:
Matric /Grade 12
Tertiary Qualification/Certification in graphic design or related field is essential
Minimum of 1 year experience as UI/UX Designer (portfolio may be requested)
Knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other relevant graphic design tools

Duties:
Gather and evaluate user requirements
Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with a cross functional team
Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to create the optimal UI/UX for the task
Graphic Design
Design graphical user interface elements for both mobile and desktop applications
Design artwork for adverts on social media platforms
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
Incorporate psychology, choice architecture, behavioural economics and corporate identity into designs
Create original graphic designs (images, sketches, tables etc)
Design Build
Develop UI mockups and prototypes that illustrate how sites look and feel (existing and future)
Prepare and present rough drafts to relevant stakeholders
Deliver artwork in format that can be easily embedded by developers
Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours, images etc
Build navigation buttons and search fields
Troubleshooting
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems in timely manner
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Projects
Plan and organise to complete projects in agreed timeframe / deadlines
Assist management with any relevant projects as requested
