UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS/VOIP TECHNICIAN
A trusted ICT solutions provider is currently looking to appoint a Unified Communication/VOIP Technician to join their team.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, deploy and maintain Unified Communications/VOIP solutions for clients:
• VoIP PABX Solutions and virtual PABX Systems, Voice Gateways & Data Routers.
• Configuring VoIP/Software based PABX solutions and VoIP phones, configuring/converting of various routers and switches to effectively communicate via Analogue/BRI/VoIP(SIP).
• Identify and repair faults both on site and remotely.
• General IT maintenance and call outs.
• Build & maintain strong relationships with customers.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ work experience within the Telecoms industry working on technical related tasks.
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ proven Unified Communications work experience; working with Hosted/virtual PBX & VoIP systems; VOIP quality of service configuration, SIP Voice channels with QOS; Skype for business & PSTN technologies.
• Understands Firewalls, worked on/understand Windows based operating systems (Advanced) & Linux based operating systems (Basic).
• Previously programmed ADSL and Wireless routers, Gateways and analogue converters.
• Valid driver’s license & relevant ICT qualification (A+ and N+ preferred)
• Displaying excellence in customer service delivery, satisfaction & retention.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12 & valid driver’s license
• Relevant ICT qualification (A+ and N+ preferred)
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or other applicable for Unified Communications/VOIP
• Certifications: MCPS, MCSA, etc.
• Minimum of 3 - 4 years’ work experience within the Telecoms industry working on technical related tasks.
• Minimum of 3 - 4 years’ proven work experience with VoIP systems; SIP Voice channels with QOS; Unified communications; Skype for business and PSTN technologies.
• Worked on/understand Windows based operating systems (Advanced).
• Worked on/understand Linux based operating systems (Basic).
• Previously programmed ADSL and Wireless routers, Gateways and analogue converters etc.
