Permanent position in the mining sector in Carletonville and Welkom, South Africa. We are only considering South African Citizens for this position. THE APPOINTEE WILL HAVE: • BSC or NHD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering • Government Certificate of Competency for Mines (GCC). • At least 2 years experience in the engineering field. • Be able to meet diverse engineering challenges within the broad scope of safety, productivity improvement and new technology within the engineering field. • Computer literacy. • Good communication, interpersonal and reporting skills. • Must be a self-starter, motivated and results orientated. • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk medical examination IT WILL BE HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS IF APPLICANTS HAVE: • Formal qualification in project management. • Working knowledge of BCEA KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Appointment in accordance with Reg 2.13.1 or 2.13.3.1 for the Safe Maintenance and Operation of day-to-day activities of the department. • Implementing and monitoring effective engineering maintenance standards. • Driving life cycle costing, availability and efficiency projects across all aspects of mine engineering. • Executing effective management by organising, leading, managing and controlling all resources within the appointed area. • Identifying problems in technical management and HR aspects, advising and implementing remedial action. • Manage KPA’s of subordinates. REMUNERATION & BENEFITS: • Salary from R800 000 to R1 m per annum, plus underground and production allowances, plus annual shares and incentive bonuses.
