Leading International firm of Consulting Engineers is looking for a Leader to manage their Land Development Services Unit. This position offers a highly competitive remuneration, with share options. KEY REQUIREMENTS: WORK EXPERIENCE: • 10+ years relevant professional work experience. • Experience working for a consulting engineering company in the Land Development sector. • Experience working in a large metropolitan area and have a good understanding of municipal planning requirements associated with various residential and commercial land development initiatives. • Have a thorough knowledge and experience in the application of municipal engineering design criteria to the design of road-works, storm water management systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and water distribution systems. • Have demonstrated experience coordinating and liaising with architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, surveyors, and other related professionals normally part of the land development project team. • Have demonstrated experience in managing land development projects for government departments. FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS: • BSc or B Eng (Civil Engineering) • Relevant post-graduate qualification would be advantageous. PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION: • Registered as PrEng with ECSA QUALITIES & SKILLS: • Strong project management and leadership skills • Strong business and financial acumen • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills – a strong collaborator • Achievement and action orientated KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: • Delivery of projects within the Land Development Services Unit. This includes the timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance and scope management of the projects, in line with the company's methodology. • Accountable for the financial performance, sustained growth and generation of revenue for the Unit through client relationships, proposals, tenders and bids. • Building, leading, developing a unified and motivated team to ensure a high performing and engaged Unit. • Ensuring participation and contribution to knowledge management, including sharing of knowledge, resources and work across the Service Group. • Contribution to the success of the Delivery Centre: Gauteng.
