Urgent!!! Business Analyst -4 month contract (MUST have at least 4 years supply chain management experience)

We are currently looking for a BA with at least 4 years of supply chain management experience for one of our clients, a well-established and dominant logistics organisation. This would be a contract role for 4 months to cover for women that is going on maternity leave.

Position Purpose:

To investigate, analyze, understand, interpret and document supply chain management data as relating to product/service, users and suppliers to ensure that the Divisional management and supply chain management practitioners have usable information at their disposal to make informed business decisions. To implement consistent, shared, accurate, and robust business and performance management processes.

Position outputs:

? Gather data, conduct analyses and generate value-adding reports for management consumption.
? To provide meaningful information to facilitate strategic management decisions required to enhance the service delivery to business.
? To equip management with meaningful information that is required to influence strategic and operational procurement plans.
? Research and analyse actionable data to enable proactive business decisions and/or react quickly to the changing business environment.
? The Business and Performance Analyst will coordinate the collection of business unit specific supplier performance against defined performance metrics, consolidate and summarize the data by suppliers, identify changes in supplier performance, and provide supplier specific summaries to the Commodity Managers and key business unit stakeholders.
? Actively identifies opportunities for business process improvements within supply chain and motivates for initiation of new projects.
? Implementor of special projects.
? The Business and Performance Analyst will serve as first contact and primary administrative manager for the Division’s supplier savings suggestion program.
? Developing a tracking system to consolidate/monitor specific initiatives, refining program guidelines and submission processes, facilitating timely dissemination of suggestions to the responsible business unit stakeholder, and Commodity Managers, monitoring business unit progress in evaluating suggestions, and communicating program status/successes to the organization.
? Applies and monitors the use of required analysis tools, methods and standards in an intelligent and effective way.
? Align to companies benefits tracking methodology for implementation and maintenance
? Engage with senior stakeholders to influence decisions/ideas based on thorough analysis and investigation
? Conduct investigative work to seek effective business solutions.
? Co-operates with senior procurement and IS staff as required, conducting investigations for strategy studies, requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
? Maintains technical awareness at a level where alternatives can be analyzed, modeled and classified according to technical feasibility and performance.
? Utilises business experience and skills to assess and advise on the practicability of alternatives, marrying up limitations with operational realities.
? Research and Implementation of Key Performance Indicator reports.
? Provide data driven analysis of business processes to improvements in customer focus, efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of these processes.
? Identify process improvements to streamline data collection and report generation.
? Implement and analyse data to create daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
? Manage and Analyse business information to promote customer satisfaction and achieve cycle time reduction through projects and/or team based improvement strategies.
? Participates and facilitates cross-functional team meeting and training to solve recurring internal customer issues.
? Provide expert systems knowledge input into projects relating to design and delivery of process improvements in support of Business Intelligence solutions.
? Provide key strategic analysis to deliver strategic information to the Sourcing team to assist decision-making on various initiatives.
? Responsible for challenging requirements and negotiating a solution to address organisational need which is both deliverable and appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience:

? Unless the applicant can demonstrate that he/she has developed the necessary competencies through experience, A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or ICT Analytics;
? Exposure to supply chain or econometrix analyses
? At least 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management functions

Competencies:

? Have a good knowledge of supply Management/Procurement;
? Experience on SAP R/3, and MIS will serve as an advantage;
? Sound knowledge of best practices with regards to supply management processes;
? Knowledge of BBBEE legislation;
? Proficiency in compilation of reports, as required;
? Good knowledge of activities of companies business concerns would be an advantage.
