URGENT: Maintenance Manager – Franschhoek

This 5* well known and frequented estate is looking for a Maintenance Manager for the property.
You will be looking after all aspects on the property (restaurant, hotel, private estate, etc)

-At least 2 years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
-QUALIFIED ELECTRICAL / REFRIGERATION MECHANIC WITH RECOGNIZED TRADE TEST.
-Electrical, Refrigeration, and maintenance background.
-Industrial Kitchen and Refrigeration Plant experience will be an advantage.
-DRIVER'S LICENSE.
-Must be well presented, neat and able to interact with guest.
-Willing to 'go the extra mile'.
-PREVIOUS HOTEL OR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE.
-Focused, goal orientated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
-Self Motivated , Strong personality that can think on their feet and work under pressure
-Excellent leadership and management skills

Job requirement
• Maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and refrigeration for 3 boutique properties.
• Perform maintenance, installations, repairs and troubleshooting on refrigeration and electrical systems and general facilities.
• Responding to breakdowns.
• Repairing equipment and replacing parts.
• Liaising with suppliers and obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings.
• Shift and on-call work will be required, due to 24-hour operation.
• Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
• Daily reporting to the Estate Manager.
• Be responsible for the management of the maintenance handymen.
• Must have previous experience with Plumbing ,electrical and HAVC work
• Must have an eye for detail
• A valid drivers’ license and own transport
• Must assist in the production of reports on the aspects of the department as directed by company policy and Management
• Liaise with Front Office and housekeeping with regards to repairs carried out in bedrooms.
• Ensure that a good image is projected by all maintenance employees such as courtesy, helpfulness, appearance and cleanliness
• Must be able to pay particular attention to standards, operational issues, security and revenue relating to Maintenance
• Must be able to operate within the hotel’s policies and procedures in regards to all aspects relating to Maintenance
• Maintain and repair all structures and equipment
• To manage all aspects of maintenance within the hotel.
• Manage the maintenance department and maintenance employees.
• Implement and adhere to a preventative maintenance program and constantly monitor progress of allocated tasks
