Job Description:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for designing and development of front ends to various user interfaces. The role will include understanding the design, psychological and technical requirements in creating an interactive interface design.
Key Responsibility Areas

Core Functions:

Defining the behaviour of users, environments, and systems
Anticipating how the use of products will affect user understanding
To design with an understanding of the user interactive experience
To advocate for the user and their goals
Solve problems creatively
Understand the strengths and limitations of both users and systems
Lead UX workshops, incl. user journeys, personas; lead design studios with dev team
Storyboarding, wire framing, prototype and UI design for web, device and mobile
Working closely with development team to produce digital solutions using latest technologies
Enforce solid design principles and evangelise user-centred product design
Design and maintain style guides and wiki’s for scalability and knowledge sharing

Skills/Requirements

• 2+ years of active UI/UX designing experience
• Relevant Visual Design qualification
• Experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript will be advantageous
• Experience with user interface design
• Knowledge of databases advantageous but not essential
• Business planning & execution
• Demonstrates initiative with a results orientation
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• High level Technical understanding
• Incumbent must have a good command of the English Language
• Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license
• Keen project management skills with an ability to interact with and motivate others to succeed on several fronts simultaneously
• Problem solving skills
• Strong knowledge of business models
• Business process modelling
