A fantastic Johannesburg company is looking for a User Interface (UX) Designer and Developer. The client is looking for a developer with great problem solving skills. Responsibilities: • Defining the behaviour of users, environments, and systems • Anticipating how the use of products will affect user understanding • To design with an understanding of the user interactive experience • To advocate for the user and their goals • Solve problems creatively • Understand the strengths and limitations of both users and systems • Lead UX workshops, incl. user journeys, personas; lead design studios with dev team • Storyboarding, wire framing, prototype and UI design for web, device and mobile • Working closely with development team to produce digital solutions using latest technologies • Enforce solid design principles and evangelise user-centred product design • Design and maintain style guides and wikis for scalability and knowledge sharing Qualifications and Experience: • 2+ years of active UI/UX designing experience • Relevant Visual Design qualification • Experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript will be advantageous • Experience with user interface design • Knowledge of databases advantageous but not essential • Business planning & execution • Demonstrates initiative with a results orientation • Detailed, orientated and able to handle multiple tasks at one time • Excellent written and verbal communications • Good business acumen • Good interpersonal skills • Good organization skills • High level Technical understanding • Incumbent must have a good command of the English Language • Incumbent must have a valid driver’s license • Keen project management skills with an ability to interact with and motivate others to succeed on several fronts simultaneously • Presentation skills • Prioritizes workload and meets deadlines for a variety of marketing "deliverables" • Problem solving skills Interested candidates can forward their comprehensive written applications to the following e-mail: (at) or fax to: (***)-***-****, you can also contact Nikita on (***)-***-**** Correspondence will only be conducted with short listed candidates.
