Purpose of the role:
Our client is looking for applicants for a UX/UI Designer position based in Bonaero Park, Johannesburg. The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for analysing, recommending, proposing and developing ways to consistently improve the UX, UI and usability offered through the company’s websites/projects within established policies, processes and guidelines.

Main Functions:
• To deliver outputs in line with the business requirements by interpreting brief requirements and formulating design solutions accordingly.
• To liaise with all relevant departments in order to improve systems, procedures and processes in terms of service delivery and cost reduction.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Essential)
• 2 years tertiary qualification in Multimedia design / Graphic design (Essential)
• 3 years’ experience in UX / UI Design or Web Design (Essential) (as shown in a digital portfolio or with links to developed websites)
• Without a tertiary qualification: 5 years’ experience in UX / UI Design or Web Design (Essential) (as shown in a digital portfolio or with links to developed websites)
• Experience in Graphic Design (Desirable)

In addition to the above, candidates should ideally also have been exposed to the following areas:

• Digital media
• Design principals and processes
• Web/UI principles and design implementation process
• UX best practices
• Solution Design Prototyping & Wireframing
• Front-end coding such as CSS & HTML, Javascript, Jquery. Including a basic understanding of .net and C#
• Design/Prototyping applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud
