Must have a postgraduate Degree or Diploma qualification in Social Sciences in ethics- essential
Matric
Driver’s license
Own transport preferred
A postgraduate qualification in applied ethics, bio-ethics or research ethics
Must have min. of 2-3 years plus working experience gained in South African in doing research of the ethics regulatory environment in/of South Africa is essential
Will serve as a member of the Research Ethics Committee for a three-year term. who reviews all research projects executed within the company that require research ethics approval.
The committee meets six times a year
Duties:
Review research activities that require ethics clearance in order to ensure that research conducted at is in accordance with research ethics principles
Advise researchers on research ethics-related issues
Contribute to the improvement of the standard operating procedures
Attend meetings and training sessions arranged by company.
