A leading fruit business has a vacancy for a Vessel Planner in Bellville.

Job Description:

* Allocate, plan and ship fruit as directed (ensure shipping rates are in place prior to shipping); Update shipping schedule to relevant destinations;
Confirm orders with Marketing / Product; Arrange vessels slots / space; Place order with shipping lines prior to loading; Shipping specifications prior
to packing; Arrange transport (day of loading).
* EU Markets / CBS management (Ensure all CBS controls have been followed in accordance with the risk management document; Stock control on
age).
* Packing list / mates receipt (Packing list to be sent to client after vessel departure).
* Error log / finalise vessel (All error logs to be cleared as soon as possible for vessel finalisation).
* Deviations (All non-conformance w.r.t. shipping to be recorded, recover loss of action not performed).

Requirements:

* Grade 12 / Senior Certificate with 2 to 3 years within a shipping industry / basic shipping perishable export documentation knowledge.
* Knowledge of the KPAs mentioned.
* Attention to detail when reporting.
* Good computer software skills.
* Good communication and interaction skills with people on all levels in the organisation.
* Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
