VITICULTURIST

Wellington Wines, situated in the picturesque Boland area, produces quality wines and currently offers this challenging career opportunity for a young and dynamic Viticulturist, to form part of the production team.

The successful candidate will report to the CEO and will be responsible for the following (among others):
? strategic input regarding procurement of raw material
? delivering optimal harvest of quality grapes
? viticultural advice
? support regarding sales and marketing activities
? recordkeeping and block grading
? advice during establishment of vineyards
? harvest
? administration and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have:
? a formal qualification (degree or diploma) in viticulture and oenology
? practical experience of vineyard management, horticulture and agricultural economics are recommended
? good communication and consultation skills
? excellent analytical skills
? computer skills (EZY Wine)
? ability to take initiative and to work independently
? ability to work under pressure for long periods
? good team player.
