Key Purpose
Ensure that the Agile development methodology and principles are adhered to in the general development environment. Act as custodian of Agile methodology, processes and tools relating to Agile development within the Group. Coaching Scrum Masters on being better coaches. Evangelizes the Agile methodology in the organization, and remove impediments to the effective application of the methodology. Driving the improvement, effectiveness and adoption of the Agile methodology. Reporting on program adoption and high level risks.

Key Outputs
Coaching - Review the interactions of Scrum Masters, Product Owners and other participants in the Agile development methodology, and proactively support and intervene through coaching and mentoring. Review the quality of interaction and relationships between stakeholders and takes steps to improve the Agile way of development. Coaches Scrum Masters on being better coaches (meta-coaching). Conducting retrospective reviews with scrum masters to identify areas for improvement, using SMART objectives. Agile Methodology, templates and standards - Ensures standardization of the application of the Agile methodology throughout the organization. Conduct periodic audits of scrum artifacts and sit in on scrum ceremonies to review the adherence and effectiveness of the processes and tools. Acts as custodian of the Agile development methodology, templates and documentation standards. Ensures that the methodology is aligned to accepted best practice and industry standards. Agile Skills Development - Ensures that a common curriculum or training course criteria exists for all stakeholders in the Agile process. Periodically evaluate the skills profile of the Agile practitioners, and assist in crafting development plans for them. Drive the development and maturity of application of Agile skills within the development teams. Ensure Agile role players are appropriately equipped to address the evolving needs of the organization. Program Reporting - Overall reporting to various Exco & Manco teams to ensure the success and adoption of the Agile methodology, and if necessary to highlight strategic or operational risks related to the use of the Agile methodology. Provide input on, and helping to guide, how programme and portfolio reporting works in an Agile development environment. Present and evangelize the impact of the Agile methodology, and objectively demonstrate the business benefits thereof at the executive level. Capacity Management - Advise on adequate resources, tools and human capacity and development environment configurations to ensure that that the Agile methodology delivers the business requirements. Provides input to the selection, development and performance appraisals of the Scrum Masters.

Qualifications & Experience
Certified Scrum Professional Tertiary degree (B. Engineer, B.Com, BSC) Formal Coaching accreditation a benefit 5 to 8 years in Scrum development environment. 3 to 5 years as a Scrum Master
