Responsibilities/ Duties:

1. Ensure operational delivery and customer satisfaction by ensuring the effective and efficient receiving and storing of materials as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for pickup and delivery.

2. Coordinate the running of day to day activities and work programme of the warehouse including accurately and safely receiving and storing materials as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for pickup and delivery.

3. Optimise turnaround time of operational work processes by ensuring operational routes are planned effectively thereby contributing to cost efficiency and productivity.

4. Ensure any special instructions pertaining to an individual order is carried out thereby contributing to client satisfaction.

5. Ensure the warehouse and its equipment are operating efficiently through the monitoring of maintenance and repair issues that arise in the warehouse and ensure that management are timeously informed of any issues.

6. Ensure the facility is kept safe, clean and neat by carrying continuous safety checks and reporting discrepancies.

7. Ensure that facility is secure and that security procedures are followed and relevant documentation is completed to safeguard the company against any loss and liabilities.

8. Maintain and ensure implementation of SOP’s to record the flow of stock in and out of the warehouse ensuring that the relevant warehouse management system is appropriately updated in order to determine the status of stock levels for an order at any given time.

9. Monitor the performance of the relevant work team/s and assist with maintaining high quality service and operational standards through the support and training of team members as required.

10. Ensure compliance of all relevant legislative requirements and that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.
