Imperial Cold Logistics (Pty) Ltd operates within the FMCG environment, within the logistics environment. We are currently looking to fill a position within the Warehouse Department. The successful candidate will be based in Cape Town.

Job Function
The Warehouse Controller is responsible for supervising of employees in picking and loading, whilst maintaining operational and SHEQ standards and budgetary targets.
Key Performance Areas
• Supervise activities in the warehouse
• Check loads to ensure accuracy and quality orders
• Responsible to co-ordinate activities of employees in receiving, picking & loading
• Oversee the financial performance of the operation
• Maintain stock records & monitor Stock Levels
• Identify, develop and implement cost savings initiatives
• Expedite receipt of orders
• Ensure stock is picked accurately and timeously
• Utilize warehouse space and other resources optimally
• Manage and develop employees in work team
• Maintain a safe and reliable working environment
• Accurate maintenance of administration

Qualifications Required
• Grade 12
• Relevant tertiary diploma in Logistics or similar / higher would be an advantageous

Skills and Experience Required
• 3 years’ experience in warehousing
• Budgeting and costing principles
• Computer literacy essential, experience in a WMS or SAP system highly advantageous
• Strong communication skills, planning and organizing
• Warehouse and storage principles
• Stocktaking principles and procedures
• Health and Safety legislation and SHEQ principles
• Willing to work overtime, shifts & public holidays
• Valid code 8 license & own reliable transport
