This Karoshoek solar thermal power project in co-operation with the company SERATYPE will start recruiting in April 2018 for the Operations Maintenance phase and we are inviting candidates with relevant qualification and experience to apply for the below permanent position:

WAREHOUSE MANAGER
KAROS AREA

Requirements:
- Grade 12 with high level environmental training and 1-2 years experience in the management of industrial warehouses
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Computer literate on MS Office and SAP

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- People Management Skills

Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the correct operation of the warehouse
- Guarantee correct compliance with the procedures for registering the entrance and exit of material
- Stocktaking of materials and correct implementation in the SAP system
- Weekly reports should be sent to the head of maintenance for weekly monitoring and monthly record keeping purposes, such that necessities can be forecast at the end of the year
and annual stocks optimized.
- Articles should be correctly identified and located.
- Spare part data should be entered and updated corrected in SAP.
- All possible feedback about improvements
- All articles should be stacked and distributed safely.
- Correct inventory checks.
- Immediate and full identification of re-acquisition requirements.
- Good administration.
- Take delivery of parts, tools and materials.
- Classify all of the materials received.
- Draw up all necessary work instructions.
- Develop and implement the inventory control system.
- Develop and implement the acquisition process.
- Label all of the parts, tools and materials and Iocate them correctly in the warehouse.
- Dispatch materials as necessary and verify dispatch documentation (delivery notes, authorizations, etc.).
- Record the data on the Spare Parts, warehouse transactions and inventory movements in SAP.
- Comply with the targets relating to facility reliability and availability.
- Keep information about suppliers and other data related to warehouses and procurement.
- Control movements of tools, vehicles and materials and guarantee that they are in a good condition.
- Perform inventory controls as required.
- Provide assistance to operations and maintenance staff in the field, if required.
- Keep the warehouses properly clean and secure.
- Guarantee that safety is maintained in the warehouse.
- Guarantee that procedures related to quality are followed, such as the isolation of nonconforming articles to prevent them from being used involuntarily.
- Follow all of the safety procedures of the Facility.
- Guarantee that feedback is provided about the work carried out and problems encountered.
- Make suggestions aimed at improving procedures, or make changes to materials or suppliers.
- Perform other functions decided on by the Head of Maintenance.
- Take part in training activities on and off site, to either receive or give training as necessary
- Control suppliers, for example by pre-selecting suppliers from a list of approved suppliers.
- Return non-conforming goods to suppliers.
- Accept deliveries and supplies.
- Reject any articles that do not correspond to the specifications.
- Approve site exit forms.
- Up-to-date and logical strategies for equipment maintenance in the area of responsibility
- Identify, draw up reports and make modifications to maintenance in their area of responsibility.
- Participate in the development of facility maintenance programs.
- Promote practices of awareness of safety/safety work done by mechanical staff and contractors, and take staff well-being into account.
- Take part in activities related to the revision and Maintenance of the facility.
- Take responsibility for controlling the quality of all the work under their control. Prepare the technical specifications for the supply of work and for reviewing extemal supplies.
- Review the inventory of spare parts.
- Take part in training activities on and off site, to either receive or give training as necessary.
- Guarantee the entry of feedback in SAP.
- Fulfill their obligations during the normal working day. It will be necessary for them to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, as well as be on call.
