1) Job Roles :
PURPOSE
• To manage the operations of a commercial warehouse and storage facilities.
• To be accountable for all activities relating to the receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch
• of goods and inventory.
• To supervise the warehouse staff.
• Conduct administrative activities and functions relating to customer order filling, stock replacement, deliveries and courier dispatches.
• Responsible for inventory management.
• Manage the flow of goods within the warehouse structures.
• Properly maintain the warehouse in an acceptable state that complies with legal requirements.

2) Duties

• Overseeing and supervising the processes of receiving and dispatch of goods from the warehouse.
• Managing a team of workers, delegating work, and supervising their work.
• Keeping records of the entire inventory stock in the warehouse.
• Ensuring compliance with legal processes and documentation of inbound and outbound goods.
• Maintaining Occupational Safety and Health Administration norms for the safety of warehouse workers.
• Inspecting and maintain the quality and standards of goods and supplies.
• Arrange for the packaging or outsourcing of packaging.
• Coordinating with vendors, suppliers and transporters through close liaison with the Procurement department.
• Ensuring the orders are correctly picked and invoiced.
• Ensure the safe guarding of the company assets including stock and motor vehicles.
• Managing the working hours and clocking system for staff .
• Ensuring overtime worked is valid and necessary at all times.
• Making sure orders/invoices are delivered timeously and to the correct customers.
• Making sure orders/invoices sent via the couriers are done timeously and to the correct customers.
• Making sure the quality of work done by staff is of a high standard at all times.
• Ensure that stock is allocated to the correct locations in the warehouse, in the accounting system
• Manage the monthly/annual stock takes in conjunction with the Finance department.
• Ensure that stock received from suppliers is checked and captured onto the system timeously

Skills and Specifications
• Should have good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the functionality of warehouse machinery and equipment such as forklifts etc.
• Ability to efficiently lead, delegate and motivate subordinates.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Strong negotiation skills
• The ability to work with other colleagues.
• The ability to network with suppliers.

SECONDARY DUTIES:
• Ability to understand the whole process ’from supplier’s supplier to customer’s customer’
• Assist in resolving customer issues experienced daily and reporting back to management
• After hours customer support
• Ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to work unusual hours if required
