This role requires management of the distribution and warehousing function. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager; the primary role of the Distribution Manager is to manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and manage the 3rdparty logistics provider.

Minimum Requirements
• Btech in Logistics
• 5 years’ experience
• WMS experience


Duties
• Run the daily distribution and warehousing function through a team of supervisors
• Manage daily, weekly and monthly operations planning
• Manage staff performance and develop staff through staff appraisals, counselling and training
• Ensure Supervisors and their staff achieve KPI’s
• Manage 3rdparty transporters and ensure service providers achieve the targets set out for them
• Manage the daily delivery process
• Analyse discrepancies in deliveries with 3rdparty transporters
• Review monthly on-time delivery performance, identify late deliveries and implement corrective strategies
• Monthly analysis of damaged returns, develop plans to eliminate damages
• Establish relationships with key customers
• Review monthly transporter invoices
• Manage distribution cost efficiencies
• Manage reverse logistics and the administration process, ensure that POD’s and credits are processed efficiently and accurately
• Manage the daily warehouse operations of receiving, storage, and dispatch.
• Ensure target stock levels and service levels are maintained
• Manage the daily picking, packing and invoicing operations
• Ensure housekeeping up to date at all times
• Ensure accurate inventory records are maintained and stock losses minimized
• Plan and manage stock takes
• Manage inventory levels in conjunction with Supply Chain Planner
• Manage Health and Safety requirements
• Review monthly costs
