Our Client within the Manufacturing Industry, has a vacancy for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team in Paarl. The Warehouse manager oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods. He / she ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and stock.

Warehouse and inventory practices

Maintain and prepare Inventory and dispatch reports

Pastel processing for delivery notes

Email etiquette

Filing

General Health and safety standards

 

Duties Include:

 

Warehouse control

Collect and record finished goods

Quality check all products and pallets (packing and labels)

Oversee stock control of warehouse: receipt and dispersal of materials entering or leaving the warehouse and security of the stock

Processing orders (working with Production and sales teams)

Plan the storage and arrangement of goods within the warehouse in line with specific storage requirements for certain stock (e.g. meat pads)

Ensure quality and delivery objectives and deadlines are met

Stock control systems are updated and maintained

Future capacity planning for the warehouse and delivery schedules

Brief staff on materials to be loaded or on assembly of items to be delivered

Daily, weekly and monthly stocktaking / inventories

Operate forklift

 

Administrative Duties

Manage, oversee and participate in warehouse operations

Support production and operation staff, liaise with all customers (internal and external)

Produce regular reports and statistics on daily, weekly and monthly basis

Ensure productivity targets are met for departments

Adhere to and enforce Healthy and safety, BRC and/or ISO requirements

Maintain computerised administration of warehouse

Processing of delivery notes / credit notes

Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email, fax and telephone

Organising shipments / pickups / deliveries. Co-ordinating drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys

Oversee the maintenance of delivery vehicles, ensure licenses are valid

Review paperwork from deliveries to determine if additional work requirements will occur

Check documents for thoroughness and completeness and prepare additional documentation when necessary

Developing and confirming schedules for deliveries and collections
