This is a BEEE position
• Min Matric with a relevant Warehouse/Logistics/Supply chain Degree/N. Diploma.
• Min of 5 years in a supply chain management position, linked to a manufacturing facility.
• SAP knowledge would be an advantage.
• Responsible and accountable for the internal supply chain, with the ability to head up the warehouse, providing leadership and holding people accountable, to their designated responsibilities which includes, GRV, inventory control, planning, line loading in kit form, warehouse management, storage location management, variance management, etc.
• The ability to build and maintain strong teams through development, training, succession planning, talent identification, mentorship, with a strong will and belief in human excellence.
• Ensuring that the necessary systems and processes are implemented within the department in order for the department to deliver to the required service levels.
• Ensuring and enforcing the necessary controls required within the department.
• Responsible and accountable for all inventory, with the focus on stock accuracy (physical stock aligned to system stock)
• Conduct stock takes and cycle counts as per policy and procedure which must be continuously improved.
• Continuous improvement projects, for example; Kanban, kit issuing, early warning systems, safety stocks management, consignment stock, load optimisation, etc.
• Accountable for departmental budget, with projects to reduce costs.
• Goal establishment and roll out to all sub ordinates, where goal monitoring and corrective actions are a requirement (root cause analysis with problem solving methodology).
• Ensure all production lines are loaded at full capacity, at all times to ensure optimal efficiencies in the plant.
• Responsible and accountable for schedule adherence, from an internal supply chain perspective, with the proper controls and reports in place.
• Accountable for Inventory holding cost savings.
• Ensure sales & PBIT targets are achieved month on month through effective internal supply chain management.
• Customer satisfaction achievement, through effective supply chain management.
• Responsible and accountable for POD system and management thereof to ensure proof of goods delivered and support to debtors when required (in line with POD’s).
