Minimum Requirements:

1. Matric

Responsibilities/ Duties:

1. Manage the movement and storage of stock in the warehouse by developing, implementing and maintaining efficient standard operating processes and methodologies which is also inclusive of cost of the inventory, warehousing and transport.

2. Optimizing the utilization of full warehouse storage capacity through the calculation of warehouse floor area and the assessment of the availability of space and preparing stacking/storage plans in order to facilitate financial returns.

3. Ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are in place and functioning and that all relevant records are properly maintained including preparing performance reports against warehouse KPI’s.

4. Ensure inventory is well managed through the monitoring of the quantity and quality of commodity(ies) stored, carrying out random warehouse checks and producing regular stock reports and daily stock positions.

5. Ensure workplace health, safety and security requirements in respect of the building and stock are met and carry out risk identification and assessment and implement corrective actions where relevant in order to safeguard the company and its employees.

6. Plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organize special requirements for stock such as chilled goods, hazardous materials or fragile products.

7. Develop and maintain a schedule for the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment and arranging of repairs and replacement of equipment in order to ensure an uninterrupted service.

8. Enhance the utilization of existing/ new technology and ensure compatibility with operational requirements, facilitating integration through the development and implementation of support processes, platforms and mechanism including equipment control and maintenance.

9. Lead the Warehouse team including TES employees through the planning and allocation of work, developing and motivating subordinates.

10. Proactively monitor and ensure compliance of all relevant legislative requirements and that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.
