Our client in Stellenbosch is looking for a Warehouse Stock Administrator. Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, ensuring quantities that appear on the SAGE system reflects stock on hand and is readily available when required. Responsible for the daily stock counts process and the timely updating of stock movement documentation to ensure stock levels are accurate on SAGE.

1. Stock Co-ordination

  • Ensure the seal code range is in line with what has been submitted on Wine on Line (WOL) System.
  • Ensure the product description is in line with what has been submitted on the Wine on Line (WOL) System.
  • Ensure that the both the seal code range and the product description is linked with what is on Wine on line, SAWIS and on SAGE. Stock that has no Wine on Line (WOL) will be flagged and transferred to P-status and then be rectified.
  • Ensures stock levels are maintained within specified minimum levels and procedures are in place to control shrinkage of stock
  • Ensures an accurate and updated system of recording all stock movements on SAGE.
  • Complete stock movement updates on the SAGE system (e.g. location to location moves etc) on a daily basis ensuring that the system accurately reflects stock on hand and is readily available.
  • Investigate product shortages during picking and supply alternative location / products. Update the SAGE system to reflect actions taken.
  • Manages and controls the disposing of obsolete/redundant stock.
  • To ensure that FIFO is optimally executed in operation to minimize application problems.

 

2.  Administration Processes

  • Develops and implements systems to ensure accurate documentation is processed within stipulated deadlines
  • Ensure that all Export Certificates has been declared and that the loaded stock is within the required WINE ON LINE litre parameters.
  • Checks documentation and perform detailed comparisons to ensure that variances are highlighted timeously between what was loaded versus what was picked.
  • Investigates all problem areas and takes corrective action to avoid future reoccurrence

 

3. Daily stock count process

  • Selects daily SKU’s to complete cycle counts
  • Ensures that stock sheets are generated and co-ordinates stock counts on a daily basis according to company procedures and stock variances are addressed.
  • Resolve variances by investigating the SAGE System or responsible for initiating recounts on a daily basis.
  • Update the SAGE system to match system to physical stock on a daily basis.
  • Report summary results to the Warehouse Manager.

 

4.  Health, Safety and Housekeeping

  • Ensures compliance with statutory legislation (OHS Act) and all company safety and hygiene policies  and procedures are adhered to

Ensures housekeeping is kept in order and meets required standards as well as general  maintenance and all areas of responsibility are clean and neat

 

KEY DUTIES:

  • MUST HAVE MATRIC with a relevant stock control qualification will be an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar position

Experience in the Wine Industry or FMCG environment would be an advantage
