Job Description

Supervise and coordinate the activities of those engaged in planning, selecting, loading, unloading, moving and storing customer product
While adhering to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, oversee the receiving and onward distribution of marketing material to and from the warehouse on behalf of customers.
This would include organizing the receipt, stock management and delivery of product to and from the facility, with focus on the accuracy, efficiency and time management of the warehouse team.
Strong reliance on monitoring and co-ordination of activities, as well as good planning skills and judgment, are essential in order to meet stringent deadlines.
Must be able to respond to events and issues that threaten the productivity schedule and/or quality of the operation, as well as the health and safety of the employees
Daily, weekly and monthly reports to be compiled and forwarded
Ensure timely and effective communication with team members through daily shift meetings and written and electronic communication.
Provide and maintain good customer service and solve problems
As an integral part of the team, ensure that customers are highly regarded and receive exceptional service during the selecting, shipping and receiving of marketing material to and from the warehouse.
Address problems with printing or delay from suppliers, quality-control issues such as damaged or improperly packed goods, and problems with warehouse capacity and client deadlines.
Customer interaction may be face-to-face, on the phone or by email.
Assist with the human resources needs of the warehouse team and monitor performance
Supervisory accountability includes recommending employee forecasting requirements based on business volumes, recruitment and hiring of all employees.
Also includes employee orientation and training, whether at point of hire, remedially or as needed by policy, and providing of input into the annual evaluation of employee performance, personal-development planning and succession planning.
Recommend actions and enforce Human Resource and Company Polices

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12
Tertiary Qualification in Operations or Logistics management advantageous
At least 5 years experience in Supervisory position
Deadline driven and effective customer communication skills essential
