Our client is looking for a Wealth Management Assistant who can provide administrative support to a Wealth Manager, servicing high net-worth clients, for the acquisition of new business and maintenance of client relationships, solid investment decisions and returns.

The ideal candidate has a background in Wealth Management and has an appropriate tertiary qualification in the financial sector, or is studying towards it. In addition, your proven administrative ability will be essential.
You will need to be highly computer literate as you will be working on numerous computer systems. Microsoft Office skills – especially MS Word, Outlook and MS Excel are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

COMMUNICATION
• Follow up on instructions with internal and external stakeholders
• Telephone client to request documents and schedule meetings
• Attend to client queries
• Liaise with marketing regarding RSVP’s for respective clients
• Post quarterly reports to client
• Liaise with the finance department with regards to clients’ assets and liabilities
• Liaise with internal departments in respect of client portfolio management
• Liaise with various investment houses
• Friendly and caring to the client in all endeavours

ADMINISTRATION
• Prepare documentation for client meetings
• Load and update all client’s assets onto the system
• Complete forms and liaise with clients regarding the signing of documents and request any outstanding requirements
• Load clients onto the system
• Submit various instructions
• Track and monitor instructions
• New business, ad hoc top ups, withdrawals, switches, maturities, income benefit, income change, and section 37 and section 14 transfers
• Load and manage fees on system
• Generate and structure the agenda for minutes of meetings and execute or monitor the actions that need to be taken on the conclusion of the meeting
• Generate quarterly/annually/bi-annually reports on every client
• Adhering to any outstanding requests from internal and external clients
• Compile detailed Financial Needs Analysis for client
• Compile investment proposal packs for new and existing clients
• Regularly update FICA and FAIS related documents
• Ensure all documentation are compliant with regulations, including client mandates

CALCULATIONS
• Accurate loading of values to generate cash flow
• Basic tax calculations (e.g. CGT and retirement product withdrawal taxes)

CLIENT INTIMACY
• Friendly and caring to the client in all endeavours
• Send gifts or cards on occasions
• Assist client in signing documents in the fiduciary process

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor of Commerce / equivalent degree (advantageous)
• Wealth management administrative related experience
• FICA & FAIS compliance knowledge
• Financial Needs Analysis experience
• Knowledge of investment products
• MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
• Xplan or similar, Astute
• Interest in completing a CFP or pursuing a career path in Wealth Management
