Our client, a software Company based in Centurion requires an individual with good business acumen and a strong inclination towards the client centricity approach to occupy the role of a Web Designer. The purpose of this position is to develop digital user interfaces concepts intended for the web and other digital platforms and to produce creative designs and polished final deliverables.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Update and maintain company websites
• Design user interfaces for IoT applications
• Visual design and layout of Marketing collateral 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with creating and maintaining content for multiple websites
• Execute design of banners, landing pages, and emails
• Implement solutions that build and maintain brand recognition via web design parameters, style guides, and visual standards
• Contribute to design of emails, display of advertising banners, and special projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Development teams
• Utilize project management skills, including delivering projects on time and with accuracy from conception to review and production
• execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development
• Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
• Present designs and key deliverables to peers and key stakeholders
• Work within the foundations of company brand guidelines, industry best practices, and standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Formal qualification in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design; Information Design, Visual studies, Communication Design or Animation Design.
• Proven practical experience in web development and design with a background in the following areas:
• User Experience Design
• Interface Design
• Web Graphic Design
• Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
• Knowledge of coding in HTML5/CSS3 and the ability to create mobile/responsive design websites is required
• Working knowledge of JavaScript
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator/Adobe CS
• Any other design/publishing tool
• Understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Must be able to create engaging infographics (the ability to translate complex information into visual media)
• 3-5 years experience in a similar role
• Good communication skills
