Our client, currently one of the largest Adventure Tour Companies in Africa is seeking a Web Developer to join their dynamic and vibrant team in the Cape Town CBD office.

Duties will include (but not limited) to:

Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as PHP, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery and API's
Building and testing Application Program Interfaces for applications to exchange dats
Building and maintaining databases
Meeting designers, developers and project staff for progress updates
Designing the architecture of the components of an application
Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to E-Commerce applications
Fixing bugs in existing projects
Learning and testing new technologies, frameworks and languages
And all other tasks related and associated with the web development sector

Minimum Requirements:

PHP
MySQL
JavaScript
CSS
WordPress theme development
Twig Templating Engine
Zurb Foundation Framework
SCSS
Git
Working knowledge of JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3 (advantageous)
Excellent Web Programming Skills and E-Commerce knowledge (advantageous)
Knowledgeable with Web User Interface Design, Security principles, Object-Oriented Design and web Services (REST / SOAP) (advantageous)
3 Year degree in any of the applicable fields
3+ years of steady employment and related experience in the required fields
Own reliable transport (business km's will be reimbursed)
Tourism Industry Experience hugely advantageous
Computer literacy and proficiency a must and not negotiable

Salary on offer: R25 000 – R30 000 (negotiable) + Provident fund and occupational healthcare program for everyday Dr’s expenses.
