We are looking for an energetic, dedicated, committed and loyal Developer.

Main Purpose of Position:

Design, code, debug and support software developed for external mobile workflow apps. This will vary between designing and writing programs from scratch, modifying existing programs and designing and modifying database structures.

Plan, organise, lead, control, guide and manage development projects, research and development and support. Ensure approved standards are implemented and maintained at all times to ensure continuity and supportability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Matric / National Diploma or equivalent qualification
Industry related diploma (MS / C#)
2-3 years developing in a financial control / collections / credit applications environment (back end development). Essential and not negotiable.
Advanced work flow apps experience essential as well as the following:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Review and interpret business requirement and technical specifications
Design solution to meet requirement into efficient code
Modify database layouts to accommodate new requirements
Test and debug code to produce error free programs
Document test requirements for quality assurance
Deliver solution within project guidelines and deadlines as reasonably determined
Request clarity around system requirements continuously
Code and develop native / web applications and services
Adhere to coding standards and apply best practices
Ensure continuity on support by means of documentation and accurate release notes
Comply with company standardization strategy pertaining to coding structure and standards
Investigate, analyse and rectify reported defects and shortcomings
Analyse and understand the reported issue
Apply problem solving techniques to identify the optimum solution to the problem
Modify the software to eliminate the problems
Test and debug
Determine that the solution submitted has been correctly applied as needed to implement the customer solution
Perform customer support duties as necessary
Assist support personnel in identifying software related issues
Effectively communicate with colleagues and customers around timeframes, issues, outstanding requirements and current status
Perform software changes with necessary urgency
Ensure best practice and standards with regards to source code are adhered to
Manage time lines and deliverables

Package: R228-300k p/a TCTC depending on experience.
