Our client in Johannesburg, Gauteng has a job vacancy. The client seeks a Weigher.

DUTIES
Log into the assigned scale with the operator and scale barcode to access scheduled production jobs on the scale.
Collect material for scheduled jobs as per schedule on weighing program and pack raw material bins neatly next to weighing station.
Scans correct tracking entity/component barcode as indicated on the weighing program.
Weigh raw material quantities as per weighing program.
Ensure that material scoops are not moved between different materials to eliminate contamination.
Ensure that pigment bins are near the liner being weighed to eliminate contamination and waste.
Correctly label liners and weighed bags with weighing barcodes.
Ensure weighed bags are properly sealed to eliminate waste and spillages.
Move material bins to the back of the weighing area when finished with the component.
Refrain from decanting raw material bags into raw material bins.
Maintaining overall cleanliness of weighing area.
Sweeping of weighing work area on every shift.
Picking up waste and throwing it in rubbish bins.
Ensure that health and safety procedures and rules are followed.
Ensure that correct PPE is worn at all times.
Adherence to ISO requirements and procedures.
Discrepancies, non-adherence to procedures and problems must be communicated to the weighing process controller.
Must work shifts.
Arranged weekend overtime is compulsory.
Communicate spillage and contamination to weighing process controller immediately.
Capture spillage from the specific raw material bag and tracking entity on the spillage application.
Ensure that spilled raw materials are not scooped back into weighed bags or raw material containers.
Spillage drums must be used to discard spillages


QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of the following:
Grade 12
English literacy
Mathematics
MBSA competency
PFSA training certificates


EXPERIENCE

2 years weigh experience volumetric conversions
3 – 5 years masterbatch weigh experience.
