NMMU(Saasveld) Wood technology / BSc (Wood Science) qualf ESSENTIAL;
±10 yrs’ Proven expe (saw mill & wet mill). ESSENTIAL
Management of 2 log yards, 2 wet mill lines, green chain, stacking, as well as kilns & boilers;
Good knowledge/Exp of saw milling equipment; especially frame saws, kilns & boilers);
Production & Processing knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs & other techniques.
Determining when maintenance is needed
Systems Evaluation through identifying measures or indicators of system performance, actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to goals.
Strong Managerial skills are essential;
Required to work overtime.
Good communicator/Organiser/Team player – management of a relatively large team;
Proven exp in high pressure, production environment/s;
References essential.
