The purpose of the role:
To register, promote and implement work integrated learning (WIL) programmes for employers, stakeholders (Public Higher Education Institutions), training providers and learners in accordance with policies and applicable legislation governing these types of programmes.

Main Responsibilities:
• To register, promote and implement the various Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programmes and Bursaries that form part of the Annual Performance Plan and SLA; as guided by the Discretionary Grant Policy and QMS;
• To manage the implementation of the various projects from inception to completion, including monitoring and controlling the budget and financial aspects for the projects;
• To liaise with and manage relationships with employers, Public Higher Education Institutions and service providers that form part of the learning programmes delivery model;
• To conduct Quality Assurance visits with employers, training providers and / or Public Higher Education Institutions to ensure that quality standards are maintained on -funded programmes;
• Collaborate with the Research department to conduct on-going research and recommend the development of new projects; provide input to the continuous improvement of existing projects and the supply & demand information to the Research department;
• To travel extensively whilst representing the organisation at the various stakeholder forums, events, employer site-visits, attending workshops including the honouring learning programmes related invitations by stakeholders;


• To satisfy all compliance related activities of the business such as performance reporting; audit requests requirements; performance validation process by DHET and ensuring that the information required is readily available at the time of audit and validation;
• To conduct all work activities as guided by the organisation’s policies and processes, PFMA, SDLA, National Treasury prescripts and Notes, and all other legislation that regulates the SETA environment.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s in Business Management or Learning & Development Degree or equivalent
• 3 years’ experience in the implementation of learning programmes (including bursaries and internships)
• 3 years’ project management experience
• A valid driver’s license
• Project management qualification, preferable Prince II

• Knowledge on contract management (MoA)
• Bursary management processes
• Learnership guidelines
