WORKSHOP MANAGER - DURBAN

A vacancy currently exists for the above position. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the overall management of the plant pool in Durban, including workshop staff.

Experience & Qualifications
- Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic
- 10 years’ experience Supervisory/Management experience
- 10 years’ post trade test experience on heavy duty trucks
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel; Word; Outlook)
- Good working knowledge of workshop budgets/cost control
- Code 8 Licence with own reliable transport

Key Performance areas – include but not limited to:

- Managing a high level of safety awareness and compliance
- Manage all preventative and corrective maintenance of the fleet
- Manage all legal requirements such as licensing, calibration etc
- Repairs and maintenance of heavy duty trucks including engines, brakes, clutch, suspension, limited electrics/pneumatics/hydraulics
- Monitoring of costs
- Stock control
- Reporting – regular reporting on MS Excel, Word
- Maintenance schedules, maintenance books etc
- Upholding the Company policies and procedures
- Managing Staff discipline, working hours etc
