Workshop Manager, Automotive Management Services

Automotive Management Services are looking for a strong Workshop Manager to be responsible for the management, control of the daily operations of the workshop and taking operations to the next level and that might be you! Are you motivated by:

Workshop Operations and Personnel Management

We offer a wide range of responsibilities and challenges where you will have every opportunity to make a difference and put your personal mark on the operations. You will be responsible for all workshop operations within your designated area. The focus will be on providing hands on solutions for all vehicles while at the same time coaching, training and managing your personnel to complete each task to be best in class quality. The job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing and controlling the daily operations of the Workshop to ensure compliance to high engineering standards, company policies and contractual requirements. This includes, but is not limited to the management of the operation’s profitability and efficiency
• Ensuring the optimization of human resources through the design and implementation of necessary processes and procedures to enhance efficiency
• Generating regular technical information bulletins and fault finding methods and ensuring the dissemination of the necessary information to key personnel
• Ensuring regular training programs are in place and coordinate with the training centre for future training courses
• Assisting in diagnostics and fault finding of vehicles
• Maintaining a clean and orderly workshop to promote a safe working environment
• Submitting daily and weekly reports on the accomplishments and forecast of activities of the designated workshop

The position will report to the Site Manager in the designated area.

It is an advantage that you have a background as a Workshop Operations Manager within the automotive industry, but this is not a requirement. However, if you are our ideal candidate you come with a proven track record of:

• Qualification and certification as Diesel Mechanic or Maintenance Technician
• Knowledge about maintenance safety and importance of personal protection equipment
• A can-do-attitude and not afraid of questioning the current state
• A team player with a hands on approach

The position will be located in Afghanistan but is not a requirement that you are residing here.
