Established, listed Company looking to appoint a Workshop Manager.
Matric or equv. .
Qualified Diesel Mechanic (other Artisan trade qualifications will also be accepted).
Min. 5-8 years working experience in heavy duty vehicle maintenance.
Min. 2 years in a Management position.
N4 engineering field will be a strong advantage.
Proven track record in previous workshop management
Duties would include the following:
- Assist in managing the Budget
- Oversee maintenance of vehicles
- Manage maintenance of facilities, tools and equipment
- Control workshop tools and equipment and control the inventory.
- Manage all workshop functions
- Supervise Workshop Staff and identify developmental needs
- Ensure that the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations are adhered to in the workshop
- Monitor the Asset Registe
- Liaise with Manufacturers and Suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery
Required to work long and late hours and sometimes over weekends and standby.
