My Client in the Logistics/Transport industry is urgently looking for a seasoned Workshop Foreman/Manager with the following:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12 qualified mechanic with 5 years experience of which 2 years in a supervisory level, computer literate.
• Preferred: At least N4 with trade test with 5 years experience on all makes of vehicles and 3 years in a supervisory level with good people skills and be computer literate • Drivers license, preferably code 14
• Training experience: 5 years in a similar position * Star Diagnostics experience on commercial vehicles is a MUST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Technical: Planned scheduled services as per company policy. Ensure that all maintenance and repairs are kept in line with the company and manufacturer’s standards and specifications, economically
• Planning: Work allocation, services, running of repairs, breakdowns.
• Budget annually / monthly and daily: Prepare quotes for all jobs.
• Actual costs versus budget annually / monthly and daily: Ensure effective cost control.
• Workshop standards: Pre and post service and maintenance inspections, tyre inspections.
• Compliance to SHEQ requirements and applicable legislations
• Ensure maintenance of all specialized equipment and safety records of specialized equipment.
• Human Resources Management: Discipline, motivation, training needs analysis. Performance management. Monthly meetings with shop stewards.
• Visits to all accident sites, visit suppliers sites as and when required.
• Ad Hoc

Preference will be giving to candidates with Star Diagnostics experience on commercial vehicles. South African citizens only.
