Our client is a leading scientific and technology research organisation and they are looking for Writer/Research Communication Practitioner

About the job:
The incumbent will write and compile content on the organsation's research, development and innovation to contribute to positive organisational
reputation.

Key responsibilities:
? Source, write and appropriately package content to communicate the organisation’s scientific
achievements, research progress and impact across science disciplines;
? Create awareness and understanding of the organisation's work through concise writing;
? Identify potential opportunities to promote the organisation’s research and development work and
achievements, and compile such content;
? Assist in the implementation of the objectives and plans for research and development
content;
? Contribute to the improvement of the understanding of the work of the organisation by writing about
the organisation’s research and development;
? Write appropriately angled content for any given number of strategic communications
purposes.

Qualifications, skills and experience:
? A Bachelor’s degree in communication or journalism, or an equivalent qualification
with at least five years’ experience in writing articles in which best practices of
communication is evident;
? Advanced written and verbal skills (English);
? A keen understanding of what is ‘newsworthy’;
? Ability to work under pressure and independently;
? Ability to multi-task;
? An understanding of the scientific process.
