• MUST BE SPEAKING XHOSA FLUENTLY
• AGRI MANAGEMENT QUALIFICATION WOULD BE ADVANTAGE
• MIN 5 YEEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH LARGE BEEF CATTLE HERD
• ABLE TO PERFORM ALL RELATED ANIMAL HUSBANDRY PRACTICES
• EXP IN GRASSLAND MANAGEMENT
• Initiative, flexible, good communication skills, trustworthy, proficient in Microsoft,
• Valid driver`s license compulsory,
• Technical knowledge of the environment, marketing and sales
• • Team Work, knowledge of fencing and pastures
• • Planning and organisational skills.
• Organize work to maximise efficiency and productivity
• • Train and motivate herdsman to implement the various work systems (Nutrition, herd health and cattle management)
• • Monitor both the work and work systems to ensure direct results are attained
• • Budgeting and maintaining accurate financial records
• • Marketing of stock and organising cattle to be marketed
• • Keeping of necessary administrative records pertaining to a large cattle enterprise
• • Ensuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards
• • Keeping up to date knowledge of pests and diseases
• • Organising maintenance/repair of property (fences/handling facilities/equipment)
• • Herd performance according to set standards
