Yard and Dispatch Manager

Leading retailer in the construction material supplies industry is seeking to employ a suitably experienced Yard and Dispatch Manager.


Requirements:

Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
3 – 5 years’ experience in a Yard, Dispatch or similar Management role.
Management experience in running an operational yard is required, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong leadership and management skills with high levels of integrity.
Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
Computer Literate – MS Windows
Valid driver’s licence with own transport.
Key areas of responsibility:

General management of all yard staff.
Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to.
Maintaining stock control levels.
Planning Logistics – assisting control and co-ordination of trucks and drivers for daily deliveries and collections.
Stock taking and inventory control.
Report any damages of vehicles, products, etc.
Implementing systems and procedures for the smooth operation for the Yard and Dispatch area.
