Dundee is a town that is founded in a valley of the Biggarsberg mountains in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and is known for its coal mining. The town is part of the Endumeni Municipality, and is very prosperous in coal deposits. There is an adjacent township named Sibongile, which was originally established by Peter Smith, with land contributed by his son in-law, that is more heavily populated than the town of Dundee itself. This township is now being extended with many residing zones.
