Officially renamed to eNtokozweni, Machadodorp is a small town in the province of Mpumalanga. Through the town of Machadodorp runs the Elands River. Originally, the town was built around a station and named Geluk. In 1894, the town was renamed in honour of an engineer named Joachim Machado. Early in the year of 2010, the town was once again renamed to eNtokozweni which means 'place of happiness'. Although the town is officially named eNtokozweni, many people still refer to the town as Machadodorp. The small town is quite well known for being home to the attraction known as the baKoni Ruins.
