Musina is a town with a population between 20 000 to 40 000 located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. Located near the Limpopo River and Sand Town, it is also the closest city to the boarder of Zimbabwe. Copper, coal, iron ore, magnetite, asbestos, graphite, diamonds and semi-precious stones are mined in this region. A large copper deposit was discovered by Europeans in the area in the 20th Century and thus the town named Messina was established. In 2003 the spelling was changed to Musina.
