Synopsis
Are you an experienced accountant with a passion for precision and teamwork? Join our dynamic team. We are seeking a Financial Accountant who can handle a variety of accounting tasks and support our finance manager.

Qualification and Experience
BCom(Acc), BAcc, CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, CGISA (with Accounting subjects), or other recognized accounting degree/qualification
At least 5 years of accounting experience
Proficiency with Excel, MS Word, and a recognized accounting package (Sage Evolution is an advantage)

Roles and Responsibilities
Manage cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and deposit allocations
Invoice students, members, and the public
Assist with trial balances, annual financial statements, and management accounts
Support the external audit process
Compile departmental budgets
Perform VAT calculations, reconciliations, submissions, and payments
Schedule examiner and contractor payments
Maintain and update the suppliers list
Oversee BBBEE certification process
Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers
Process payments and debit orders on Standard Bank’s business online platform
Complete and submit vendor forms
Communicate with stakeholders and respond to financial queries
Provide support to the finance manager in all finance-related tasks
