I am a Wits Bachelor of Science graduate currently completing my Honours. I pursued my degree in the Mathematics of Finance to service my love for numbers and science. Accounting and Mathematics have always been my academic strong points. I have a clear understanding of their fundamentals concepts, how to explain and apply those concepts to questions and real life examples, some common problem areas that most students struggle with and how to overcome them. From my 3 years of formal tutoring experience, I have picked up; most students who struggle with these subjects have trouble understanding new concepts in class because they have gaps in their understanding of the basics. Thus, I plan my lessons around solidifying my student’s understanding of the foundation and key concepts whilst keeping my student up to speed with their syllabus. I am patient with my students, giving them time to grasp new information and help guide them through examples and questions. Tutoring is a personal passion. I enjoy working with younger students, helping them overcome their academic barriers as well as guiding, advising and motivating them on future academic path.
