Objectives: My main objective is to become a lead project controls manager. Planning Experience: I started in project controls as a junior planner in April 2007; I have been working as a senior planner for the last 6 years and have a total of 13 years project planning experience in large scale multi-disciplined projects set in an EPCM environment for the client and as a senior planner for the contractor. I have experience mostly within NEC3 contracts, and have experience with FIDEC. Industries: Large infrastructure projects within the Mining, Rail/Road, Marine Ports and Nuclear sectors. Small and Large, Greenfield and brownfield projects in Oil & Gas industry. Small and Large, Greenfield and brownfield projects in open cast mining industry. Small and Large, Greenfield and brownfield projects in rail/road and marine ports. Medium scale, brownfield project in the nuclear environment. Biggest/Significant project to date: I was involved in the new Tippler 3 project in Saldanha Bay for Transnet, valued at R3.6B. Developing and managing the master programme of 11 major work packages. Iron Ore Line upgrade, Phase 1 A, B, C, total cost value of R1.7B. This project included the lengthening of 19 railway line passing loops along the line, a power upgrade of the power feed into the railway line, and a new 34km railway link line. New PTR tank for Unit 1 reactor, PTR tank replacement for unit 1 nuclear reactor at Koeberg Power Station, manufacture of the new tank and installation of the tank and associated piping. This was a one of a kind, first time project as this was part of a replacement that included Unit 2 PTR tank replacement that took place in 2018, which was the first time in the world a PTR tank has ever been replaced at a nuclear power plant. Skills: Strongest skill as a planner is my ability to think analytically and logically, my ability to solve a problem or challenge in logical and practical manner. My strong people skills allow me to work together within a team to solve challenges.
